Glencorse victory for Jaci and Duncan
Jaci Moriarty and Duncan Ireland won the big prize at Glencorse Mixed Open today. They proved just as capable at the Greensome format as they have been in the foursomes this year.
A 61.2 was their winning score and would you believe the scratch prize was won by Duncan's wife Suzanne playing with Robert Binnie, also shooting a 69. Their nearest the pin and a share of the two sweeps (there were only three) meant they went away with a bit more of the cash on the day.

10th July

Hole In One for Gavin Clarke.
Congratulations to Gavin Clarke who bagged a hole-in-one during the midweek medal tonight. A 7-Iron to the 6th green flew straight into the hole (actually denting the cup in the process). This demonstration of pin-point accuracy takes Gavin's Hole-In-One tally to four. Now that's quite an achievement, one which everyone in the clubhouse happily helped celebrate in the traditional way.

Silverknowes Silverware for Johan Svard

5th July Fantastic 55 from Gavin Glendinning in July Medal
The story of the day is undoubtedly Gavin Glendinning's amazing 55. He may have had to play three off the tee twice (6th and 9th holes) but this didn't stop him playing his best ever round to win the C section by a county mile from Davin Milligan runner up with 68. Gavin's effort today will slash his handicap and see him move into pole position for next months's C Section championship. Jamie Crisp won the A section Medal with a 62, one stroke ahead of Graeme Markey. The B section was won by Steven Cockburn with a 64 ensuring he now tops the B Championship qualifyers.
