Letter to members 9th July
NOTICE TO MEMBERS
RESTART OF GENTS COMPETITIVE GOLF
The Club intends restarting competitive golf for the gents on 4th July 2020. Obviously in these times adjustments have had to be made and to that end guidelines on scorecard procedure and a revised fixture list will be posted on the Website and on Social Media outlets. The Club will also text and Email members who have registered their details with the Club Secretary.
Members should be aware that the events listed on the revised fixture list will be subject to change, sometimes at short notice, as we will have to comply with guidelines issued by both The Scottish Government and Edinburgh Leisure.
At present there will be no sweeps run by the Club as collecting these make it impractical, however, this service is hoped to resume soon.
More details will be posted as to further events as and when they become available

Letter to members 5th June
The long road back for Lochend Golf Club begun today as the course re-opened, with booking and playing processes that are very different from what we’ve been used to. There were a few teething problems with bookings which are being dealt with, but generally, it appears to be working as well as can be expected. To assist members with the new normal we’ve composed the following guidelines on how to book and/or contact Edinburgh Leisure regarding password/membership issues (note the arrows on the bottom left will navigate pages).

Letter to Members
While golf is an outdoor sport that allows players to exercise in the fresh air, the message to all of us is clear, we must stay home and play our part in containing the spread of COVID-19. With this in mind, Scottish Golf asks that all golfers in Scotland refrain from golfing until further notice.
LATEST DETAILS FROM SCOTTISH GOLF
Following an emergency committee meeting this evening we are sorry to inform you that it has been decided to close the Club and Clubhouse from tonight until further notice. This means next week’s club AGM and the Ladies AGM are now postponed and all competitions until the end of April are cancelled.
In these exceptional times, our priority is the continued health of staff, members and visitors: we already know of two regular members who are showing symptoms of corona virus and are now self isolating.
You will still have access to the locker rooms.
We will keep members informed and updated as often as possible.
You may already know that Edinburgh Leisure have announced that they are closing all their golf courses until further notice from this Friday.
This has been a very difficult decision but one that I am sure you will all understand why it has been taken.
If you want to contact me on any matter please use the above email address: email@example.com
Best regards, keep well
