While golf is an outdoor sport that allows players to exercise in the fresh air, the message to all of us is clear, we must stay home and play our part in containing the spread of COVID-19. With this in mind, Scottish Golf asks that all golfers in Scotland refrain from golfing until further notice.

Following an emergency committee meeting this evening we are sorry to inform you that it has been decided to close the Club and Clubhouse from tonight until further notice. This means next week’s club AGM and the Ladies AGM are now postponed and all competitions until the end of April are cancelled.
In these exceptional times, our priority is the continued health of staff, members and visitors: we already know of two regular members who are showing symptoms of corona virus and are now self isolating.
You will still have access to the locker rooms.
We will keep members informed and updated as often as possible.
You may already know that Edinburgh Leisure have announced that they are closing all their golf courses until further notice from this Friday.
This has been a very difficult decision but one that I am sure you will all understand why it has been taken.
If you want to contact me on any matter please use the above email address: lochendgc@gmail.com

Best regards, keep well

Following on from the recent Coronavirus outbreak, Lochend Golf Club wish to assure you we are, and will continue to, closely monitor the information and advice released by the Government and Public Health Scotland, with regards to the spread and containment of the virus (COVID-19).

We have increased the number of personal hygiene cleaning products within the venue and would encourage customers to use them regularly. We ask you to help us maintain a clean and healthy space by paying attention to personal hygiene, particularly in respect of frequent and thorough washing of hands and the immediate and safe disposal of used tissues (new instruction posters are in place within the club).

If you feel unwell or have any of the symptoms regardless of visiting any of the countries being monitored please refer to NHS guidance (https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/) and please do not visit the clubhouse.

We will continue to closely monitor all available information and act accordingly.
